Turning donated watches into meaningful time

Our 2026 auction has surpassed all expectations. Thanks to our donors and bidders, we are helping young people facing serious illness create moments that count

Buying Time is a charitable foundation created in loving memory of Michael, our son. It is a place where watch enthusiasts and collectors can discover and bid on remarkable timepieces, knowing that every purchase helps young people living with a serious or terminal illness.

Through our annual auction of exceptional watches - all generously donated - we raise vital funds to help these young people make the most of the precious time they have. Life can be heartbreakingly short, and for those facing that reality, we aim to create opportunities for special moments with family and friends, while also supporting research, treatments and care.

Join us in turning timepieces into moments of hope, joy, and lasting meaning.

Because of You

Thanks to the generosity of Fears who donated this watch, and the winning bidder who chose it, we are delighted to award one of our first grants to Bucket List Wishes.

This grant will help make special wishes possible for young people living with a terminal illness, giving them the opportunity to spend precious time with the people they love most. From arranging travel and accommodation, to planning every detail of the experience, Bucket List Wishes removes the practical burden so families can focus on making memories together.

One of the first people this grant will support is Sarah-Jane, a woman in her 30s who has recently received a short terminal diagnosis. With time now incredibly precious, Bucket List Wishes will help her enjoy a special break with her partner and children, creating moments they’ll treasure forever.

This is just the beginning.

The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been, and the memories we've made along the way
